A political thriller about who actually wrote the plays of William Shakespeare-- Edward De Vere, Earl of Oxford-- set against the backdrop of the succession of Queen Elizabeth I, and the Essex Rebellion against her. |Also attending the photocall was director David Slade. I noticed that David hasn't been on the red carpet much with the actors. When they were promoting New Moon, director Chris Weitz was seen in many of the photos with the cast. Wonder if David is just not particularly fond of all the press?
