She’ll be playing Amanda Knox, the killer of sex-murder victim Meredith Kercher, but Hayden Panettiere says the facts surrounding the case aren’t a clear-cut as everyone says.

The “Heroes” hottie told FOX News, "We spent five weeks talking about it and reading about it and looking at new evidence, trying to form some sort of opinion about it.”

"It's like, 'She's innocent. She's guilty. She's innocent. She's guilty. She's innocent.’ I can't say I have an opinion and that's why the story is so interesting - the facts and what people said and the changes in stories."


"It really all comes together to form this incredible story that I think people are really genuinely interested and curious in. And I don't know that we'll ever really know.”

"I believe in the person that she deep down was. And I think that no matter, regardless of innocent or guilty, I believe she was a... she has a spirit. You know, she's a real person. She was a young girl who had dreams and aspirations and was going to Italy to go to school and to broaden her horizons and have experiences and meet new people. And I don't think that guilty or innocent takes away from that.”

A natural Hayden Panettiere was seen shopping at Burberry in Beverly Hills. The actress bought a new coat from the famous designer store and seemed like she was in good spirits. Usually, Hayden Panettiere  is not one to interact with the paparazzi, but the Splash photographer who took this shot says he chatted with the actress a bit before heading into her car.

According to reports, Hayden Panettiere  joked with the crew that her boyfriend Wladimir Klitchko could beat up anyone from the group. No video is available so who knows if she really said that.

The “I Love You Beth Cooper” chick and “New Moon” hottie's project is to be set in a high school, with shooting to begin this spring in Louisiana.


Hayden and Nikki will play students at a Chicago-area school where a member of each year’s senior class dies a bizarre death.

Myriad Pictures honcho Kirk D’Amico told press, "We are very excited about this project. The combination of the thriller genre, a very popular and well-known cast, Bret Easton Ellis' dynamic screenplay and Nelson McCormick's incredible skill with young actors and ability to create tension and terror onscreen is just unbeatable."

Tending to her overseas promotions, Hayden Panettiere was quite the busy lady on Sunday (October 10) in London, England.

After dropping by BBC Radio One studios in central London, the former "Heores" actress changed outfits before heading over to BFI Southbank.

Once arrived at her destination, Miss Panettiere put on a bright smile as she toted around a wolf pup as she attended the gala screening of "Alpha and Omega".

Co-starring Christina Ricci and Justin Long, the animated flick is about "two young wolves at opposite ends of their pack's social order who are thrown together into a foreign land and need each other to return home, but love complicates everything." (Hollywood Gossip)

Aceshowbiz : Hayden Panettiere celebrated her 21st birthday all over again on Friday, August 27 partying with pals in New York.

The actress reached the milestone on August 21 and marked the occasion with a spectacular bash on the Detroit, Michigan set of her new movie "Scream 4" complete with fireworks and a three-foot dolphin birthday cake.

But Panettiere wasn't satisfied with the festivities and jetted back to her native New York this weekend so she could enjoy a more low-key birthday bash with old friends.

The star was spotted feasting on tacos and burritos and downing cheap cocktails and shots with eight pals at Mexican restaurant Blockheads in Manhattan on Friday night.

A fellow diner tells WENN, "It wasn't a very showbizzy gathering and Blockheads isn't exactly a celebrity hang-out. But Hayden looked like she was having a great time. The party was pretty rowdy, with lots of laughing and joking.

But nobody minded. She was even treated to a rendition of Happy Birthday by all the waiters, who brought her out some cake. Everyone in the restaurant joined in."

There was one conspicuous absentee - Panettiere's giant boxer beau Wladimir Klitschko. The onlooker adds, "She did look like she was missing her boyfriend. She was on her iPhone every five minutes, checking for messages from him."
