YES, Please: VPL Dress

($275, VPL, Shopbop.com)
I own no VPL. Nor do I own any YSL for matter, but I always admire the bondage-meets-ballerina aesthetic of VPL and, in the case of this "Breaker" dress, their use of not-boring neutrals. Want.

Save Fashion! Go Shopping! In Port Authority!

For once in your life you can pick up something at Port Authority besides crusty sandwiches and used prophylactics! You really need to go check out Save Fashion -- a month-long pop-up shop/ hardcore sample sale of stuff by real designers you actually really love and usually can't afford/ justify paying for. And by "you," I mean "I."

When I stopped by the launch party, I saw amazing Charlotte Ronson pieces for $30 (I kept turning the hang tags over, looking for extra 0s), VPL, and gorgeous Wren pieces for around $70, if memory serves me. Rick Owens tanks are just $28. Ridick, right?

Currently Save Fashion's lineup is all women's stuff, but men's clothing is coming soon.

Here the lineup of designers for week 1:

Random Stuff I Want + Some Horrid Stuff I Definitely DON'T Want

DRESSES
($328, Iodice, Couturecandy.com)
Iodice = pretty princess!!

($328, Iodice, Couturecandy.com)
See??? Toldja!

($178, Max Azria BCBG, Nordstrom)

($108, Fighting Eel, Shopgreenapple.com)
Hip, hip HOORAY for black and grey!

($396, Jenni Kayne, Shopbluegenes.com)
Cute enough, no?

($210, Poshgirlvintage.com)
So darling, but, um... about that 26" waist? Yeah.

($28, Nyandcompany.com)
Apparently the formerly MORTS New York & Company now has some cute stuff! Yay!

TOPS
($235, Rory Beca, Activeendeavors.com)
Eeee! Interlocking bird graphic!

($162, Mike & Chris, Chocosho.com)
Oh Mike & Chris. When, oh when, will you sell out and do a line for Target?

($60, Coexist, Shopgreenapple.com)
Get it? Los York? "Los" and "York"? Get it!?

BAGS
($50, Oohboutique.com)
Such a perfect fall bag.

($32, Amiciaccessories.com)
HeLLOOOOO Crayola brights!

($13, Lulusfashionlounge.com)
Presh!

($48, Vintage, Polkadotsandmoonbeams.com)
Totes fun.

($165, Virginia Johnson, Activeendeavors.com)
... Speaking of totes, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, 'ki have EVERY Virginia Johnson bag they have over at Active Endeavors??? Oh, and the tops too, please.

RANDOM THING
($4, Weheartheartbreaker.etsy.com)
These '80s/'90s teen heartthrob bedazzled watches are effing hilarious. I love that Andrew McCarthy gets his due here. And yes, that's Joey Jeremiah for all you Canooks/ watchers of Degrassi High. He was the Northern version of Jon Cryer, for all of you unawares.

HORBS STUFF
($140, Superfine London, Shopjake.com)
I actually love a lot of Superfine London's jeans, but these are absolutely an execption. Why? Oh, because they're SILVER! Awful.

($185, Iodice, Couturecandy.com)
Even having arms like this lady with the Anna Karenanakournikovanoff crazy eyes is no reason to wear butterfly sleeves. So terrible. So Stevie Nicks. So bad.

($363, Raw-7, Couturecandy.com)
This sweater is what's wrong with today's youth.

(Juicy Couture, Neiman Marcus)
There's so much wrong here I just don't even know where to start, so I won't.

(575, Neiman Marcus)
Um, is this kid freaking you out? Because he's totally freaking me out right now.

(Apprx $33 USD, Laredoute.co.uk)
Remember all those jokes about what was in MC Hammer's pants and why they hung so low? They totally apply. Do these pants come with adult diapers or something? So terrible. I am slowly taking back what I said about the UK LaRedoute being so far superior from its US sister. At least we don't have poopy pants!!!

Wish List: The Dress Addition

Okay. I have been hording (in the form of links) tons and tons of stuff I've been wanting to post. So, here they are, in Wish List form.

First up: dresses.

JUMPERS

($528, VPL, Refinery29.com)
So comfy looking. Only prob: it's aboutg $500 above my price range. Drat.

($135, Charlotte Ronson, Standardstyle.com)
Don't care if it looks like a bathing suit coverup. I still want.

($272, Humanoid, Oaknyc.com)
This looks like the type of outfit that's so absurdly comfortable that you start to do a weird white people dance the second it's on. It's called "Groovy Nights," which makes me wanna put my hair up in those old-school ribbon-streamer hair clips. And then do the white-peeps dance.

TUNICS

Okay. I guess these are "officially tunics" or whatever.

(Apprx $49 USD, DorothyPerkins.uk.co)

($179, Corey Lynn Calter, Janescloset.com)

($420, What Comes Around Goes Around, Shopbop.com)

($410, Vena Cava, Barneyscoop.com)

Green Dresses

($128, Bananarepublic.com)
I was "inspired" to find some grass-green dresses after happening upon this green jersey dress from Banana Repubs. Then I realized there's really not much "inspiring" at all about Banana Republic. So I put "inspiring" in quotes. Anyway, here are more dresses in green.

($156, Tufi Duek, Bluefly)
Probably a much wiser investment than the aforementioned. Love this.

($62, Soundgirl, Thenaturalrhythm.com)
This shop sounds like some kind of Rastafari rhythm method birth control. Eeek! But I love the dress, and you KNOW we love Soundgirl.

($34, Flux Nouveau, Amazon)
You know... there's nothing super amazing about this dress, but that's sorta okay.

Misc.

($297, Alice + Trixie, Livenatty.com)

($84, Drifter, Amazon)

($431, Indieshopper.com)
A whole new meaning to "babydoll dress." Ridiculous + love.

($176, Staci Woo, Daszign.com)

($232, Tricia Fix, FamousStyle.com)

($224, Vitamin A, Boutiquetoyou.com)
I really don't <3 Cami D, but I DO love love LOVE this giraffe cover-up. Is that a fair trade off??? K. Nighty nights!
