Janet Jackson Opens Up About Grieving Michael Jackson

Janet Jackson was so thankful she landed a role in 'Why Did I Get Married Too?' because of one particular scene. The singer / actress says she found smashing items with a golf club rather therapeutic and it actually helped her get some of her frustration out about losing her brother, Michael.
"Bashing up that stuff with the golf club, I enjoyed that. I needed it and it came at the right time.
"After reading the script and then going through what had happened in my own family, I was really thankful for the opportunity to completely let go of some things, to just unleash."
Janet, 44, was working on the film - in which she plays a grieving mother - at the time of Michael's death, and even flew back to the set the day after his funeral as she thought it was important to continue working, despite her devastation. She added in an interview with the Daily Record newspaper:
"I left the service that night, jumped on a plane, and was on set the next day. Life goes on. You have to as well. You can't just stop. It's not healthy."
Some might say that is too soon, but everyone has their own process.
Janet also praised Tyler Perry for being there to support her during her time of need.
"Tyler was constantly calling me to see how I was doing. He asked me, 'How do you want to be treated on set?' And I said, 'The way they treated me, no differently.'
"And that's exactly what it was. They thought it was important they didn't bring up what had happened, and that was fine with me."

My thoughts are still with Janet and her family.  (imnotobsessed)
